Demi Lovato

She's 19 yo and writes her own music and lead singer in her band.

She reminds me of a younger Avril Lavigne

You're hipper than I, Steve. To me, Wilco is a new band. I expect they'll do well.

Tim

She was dubbed Avril's heir apparent due to their similarities both of them multi-talented and kicking off their careers at the age of 16. Rocker, Singer, Songwriter, Guitarist, Bassist, Drummer, multiple Grammy nominee, she's already a star in her own right. There are over 15,000 youtube entries for her and her band Paramore, mostly fan uploads of her on tour. Usually dressed on stage like a kid next door on the way to 7-11 or a simple dress, you could say she's the anti-Gaga. She's had ballads covered in teen show Glee on one hand and has rocked Wembley Stadium on the other. Gotta love this kid. With age her voice should get deeper and fuller. I'm looking forward to this :)

A band called The XX. Early 20s, fantastic debut album. One of the principals collaborated on Gil Scott-Heron's final album, interesting, cool stuff.

Thanks Ron

You must have a big list of up and coming stars

Have it on order---but the new Girls seems really good from the snippets I've heard so far. It is there second album.

And it does not have a girl singer fyi.

Keith,

"Father, Son and Holy Ghost" is a definite album of the year candidate and the vinyl is well recorded.

The single "Vomit" (and the title is misleading) is getting a little airplay on alternative radio stations:
