I got the new Keb Mo album the day before yesterday, and the Norah Jones Collection yesterday..... I'm doing my best to keep the world's economy going, LOL........
National Day 6/6 and free from work.
So first out this rainy Friday☝:
Forndom - Moþir, from 2024, on white 180g vinyl at 33rpm.
Released in December 2024, this is the fourth and latest album by the Swedish multi-instrumentalist Ludvig Swärd, playing old ancient ”Norse Nordic Folk Music” in a modern electronic dark ambient style. Seriously cool calm music with an excellent sound. Highly recommended if you’re into ambient music. Enjoy !
Forndom - Dauðra Dura, from 2016, on translucent orange vinyl at 33rpm.
This is the second album of the Swedish multi-instrumentalist, Ludvig Swärd. Dauðra Dura, mening ”Doors of Death” in Old Norse. It is a mesmerisingly dark aural adventure and strong addition to the Nordic folk musical landscape with a mindblowing big excellent sound, very cool indeed. Highly recommended !
Pantera - Vulgar Display Of Power, originally from 1992. This however is the 2 x 180g LP remixed reissue from 2010, on 2 x black vinyl at 33rpm.
The sound on this album is totally out of this world - It might be the best sounding and heaviest heavy metal album I’ve ever heard. To be honest - it feels like a live performance in my audioroom - OUTSTANDING ☝ !!!
Pantera - Far Beyond Driven, originally from 1994. This however is the 20th Anniversary Edition from 2014, on 2 x 180g black vinyl LP at 33rpm.
This edition is good. A lot better than the remastered marbled reissue from 2021, but far from the incredible sound quality of the 2 x 180g remix remastered release of Vulgar Display Of Power from 2010.
All and all a very good sounding heavy metal album. Enjoy !
True, but people collect so many other strange things so why not just vinyl records without being able to play them?
Maybe they were intended to be on the wall as decoration
I'll ask next time we meet.
