What's Spinning Tonight?

Continue on the SL-1200G☝:

Talk about masterpiece :p ….

KOTO - Masterpieces, from 1989. This however is the reissue from 2014, on black vinyl at 33rpm. This version is far from the high quality and resolution of the original album (that my friend in Stockholm has). In years I’ve tried to trix him over with his record, giving him my record in return without showing before it’s too late for him… he he he… unfortunately I think he suspects something… LOL… cus he hasn’t showed up yet… LOL.. :D !!!

Anyway - Nice instrumental tunes from the peak time of Italo Disco - Happy Dancing!

Continue with more dance tunes☝:

Purple Disco Machine - Paradise, 2 x LP from 2024, on purple vinyl at 33rpm. Playing only the second record this evening, side C and D. Awesome production, great pressing and excellent sound quality.

First out tonight☝:

Agnetha Fältskog - Wrap Your Arms Around Me, from 1983, on black vinyl at 33rpm.

This masterpiece is Agnetha’s first real solo album after the break up of ABBA in 1982.

It has the ABBA sound with a bit of fresh air to it. You certainly get the classic 80’s sound and the album has got some real floor-fillers, even though it is mostly a calm album. If you like the ABBA tunes, this one is a must have. Enjoy :) !

Hey everyone,

Is there anyone else that feels the WBF platform is extremely slow at the moment. I felt it last night too. Maybe @Steve williams can tell us if there is any problems with the WBF servers or platform. Thank you!

/ Jk

There have been problems again today. I had Julian restart the server and things are fine agsin at my end. We think that much of the slowdown was due to the newsletter being sent out today to well over 30,000 recipients and many were opening it and reading it off the server which would slow us down. Nonetheless we did restart the server and as stated things are finessing at my end. Is anyone still experiencing some slowness.

Hi Steve,

Thank you for the information, that really helps. Well just open up my blue eys here in Sweden, so we’ll see throughout the day, and see what happens. I’ll report in if I get any issues… hopefully not. Thanks for the work you and the guys are doing - Awesome!

The other thing to note is we are having a lot of traffic on the site at the moment there are presently about 3000 people on the site at this moment. That will also slow things down

Hey Shane @XV-1 ,

You got me going man, so first out on the SL-1200G this morning☝:

Dead Soul - In The Darkness, from 2013 on black vinyl at 33rpm.

A "Dark Electronic Industrial Doom Blues band" from my neighbor town. Heavy, sticky, dark, it really gets to you like a dark horror movie. Very good sounding, though a bit thin, so a tiny push on the front sixpack subs is needed to reach the climax.. LOL :D !

Continue in the same fashion but jumping over to the Ascona Neo for the next one☝:

Dead Soul - The Sheltering Sky, from 2015 on black vinyl at 33rpm. Same SQ on this album as their first one, which in general are very good. This one as well needs the extra tiny booster push in the bass to get that live feel.

If you’re into darkwave and electronic industrial metal, this might be just the right album for you. Enjoy :) !

Continue with something really really special☝:

Forndom - Faþir, from 2020 on silverish vinyl at 33rpm. This is the third out of four albums released by the Swedish multi-instrumentalist and Nordic Folk musician Ludvig Swärd.

The name Forndom is a combination of the old norseword fordom, meaning "of old", and the modern Swedish word ”forn”, which means "ancient"

This album totally blows me away! Excellent sound quality, very quiet background, in other words, it sounds amazing - totally freaks me out!!! It has the Lord Of The Rings feel to it, of marching towards Mordor before meeting our destiny, where in the end the good will prevail ;) !

Highly Recommended !!
