Geri Allen's "Flying Toward The Home" and the 7 LP box set of Art Peppers "Live At Ronnie Scott's" just landed at my doorstep. Based on what I've already heard, these are the jazz new release and reissue of the year. I haven't pulled an all-nighter since college....

THAT is a fantastic album. The buttery voice of Albert King and the incredible guitar playing of Stevie. Listened to that album no less than 5 times last week.

Re-visited Heitor Villa-Lobos after a Live Concert reminded how interesting this composer was. Well known for his Bachianas Brasileiras. His output is however much more than that and the Choros are very beautiful. 7 CDs of great music by an orchestra who knows the composer and love what they are playing ... The Performance is that of a seasoned orchestra. The OSESP as it is called in Brasil (Orchestra Sinfonica del estado de Sao Paulo) is an orchestra to watch .. Interesting that BIS recorded them...

Well it's not nighttime but hey! this is beautiful music and the recording by BIS is very good .

 

BIS is a good quality music recording label.

Rich-I need to think up some magic audio doo-dads to sell because you will buy anything. So how does that demagnetized CD sound on the black-hole CD mat with the non-burned in Time Portal Worm Hole power cord? I bet the non-burned in magic power cord is throwing everything off right now.
