Wow ! Every detail just shows that you have tried a lot of combinations and materials. I would not be surprised if it was one of the best sounding TT's in this forum ! :)

I wrote in my report, while talking to him, there were layers and layers of detail behind everything. The research and depth behind everything is crazy. First you think it is only the speaker, then the electronics, then the silver wires, the power, it never ends.

Might have to start giving attention to another hobby :) this one has been taken towards end-game!
knitting has limited economical downside...;)

There is always knitting sheets of carbon fiber or assembling NFT of your audio equipment.

You have constructed a singularly attractive TT. Dealer vids have nothing on seeing that appear atop the front page for a month straight.

we´re "knitting" adapters in carbon for TAD 4003 adapters to newly designed constant directivity conical/tractrix hybrid horn...very promising....the combo does 550 to 18K more or less flat and even over a 90 degrees wide soundlobe...will test in a few weeks at home...have already listened to them with passive X/O which is my only option.....no DSP crap

Hello!

What is the reason for having the main driver on top of the two mid-bass drivers, and not in the middle (between them)?

Thank you.

because they contribute as a single horn and D´Appolito isn´t always optimal
also the mid would end up way to low and to compensate I´d have to raise bottom FLH and I´d loose the floor contribution
they roll down acoustically rather steep and are lopassed at about 550 where the TAD 4003 takes over
net sensitivity is about 110db and xmax at that lvl is about 0,3mm, so always linear

What problem are you trying to solve? Good dual FLH are already the best at integration

I guess he thinks about pointsource possibility......heard some solutions like that, but the double FLH as stand for HF stack from floor and up is way better
theese also have slots for sandfilling, but I never bothered
