If you want to reach for it (assuming it is a reach), the Audioquest Dragon. If not, and you don’t mind waiting, the RAL HDMI. Or the Tubulus Concentus v2. They’re all good, but in my system I’ve been the most pleased with the Dragon.

Another vote for Tubulus. I have heard good things.

Oh, if it matters, the Audioquest is the most flexible (although the DBS thing at one end must be taken into account), followed by the Tubulus, filled by the RAL.

Infatuated (and have been for a couple of months or so) with the Anonymous Cables pure silver solid core LAN cable that I know several other WBF regulars such as @christoph and @morricab use as well. The least digital sounding digital playback I’ve heard, makes me scratch my head as to how and why an Ethernet cable should have such an impact on the sound quality of a system, but it does. I tend to listen for hours on end, usually around 4-6 hours of attentive listening four to five times a week, and more if time allows, very happy with the upgrade as well as the complete absence of listening fatigue.

Try the Viborg LAN. Compared to the Neo 1008 it could be a little „smoother“. The Neotech has pronounced frequency extremes, but the mids are lacking...at least for me. In addition, the Neo is difficult to lay and does not perform well under high tension.

CAT8 is not recommended at all.

Yup, shocking what it does. I am also using a new AES/EBU cable from them that also raises the bar!

The Nordost Valhalla 2 Ethernet cable has found its way back into my system — this time in a completely different setup. It replaced the Ansuz A2 between the router and the Synergistic Research switch. I still believe it could be priced more reasonably, and comparing it to the A2 isn’t entirely fair since the Valhalla costs four times as much. However, the improvement in sound quality is significant.
