I bought eleven Reference Recordings SACDs a few weeks ago. Really good SQ on all. One of my favorites is the Strauss:Elektra - awesome! I have most of their SACD library now.

Try Kogan's Lalo Symphony Espagnole. Excellent also.

This is still my favorite recording. Some newer ones might have a bit more transparency (although this LP still sounds pretty good), but I love this interpretation and performance.

Excellent sound and some staggeringly good playing from Verdery. This LP contains guitar transcriptions of Bach's Harpsichord Concerto In D Minor, BWV 1052 and CPE Bach's Harpsichord Concerto in A Major.

Seems I've been fascinated with Rach.'s 'Symphonic Dances' for months. I've heard many, but my fave is Andrew Litton's on BIS...BIS-1751. Altho recorded in 'only' 24/44.1, perhaps due to the 24-bit recording the sound is very spacious. Of course the microfoning and recording site affect that too. The performance is muscular and not wimpy. VERY nice.
:)

This $60 SACD sounds nearly as good as my used $9.99 LP version.
