Actually, the whole world is "fragmented". We normally call it "diversity" or "choice". It is the default condition in any market you care to look at. The word "fragmentation" was invented by a certain group of fanboys who have no choice but to buy a device where diversity is limited as a derogatory description for the competition. Imagine a world where you can only buy a Toyota. No choice of engine size, but you have three choices of fuel tank size and it only comes in either black or white.
