USB cable recommended?

I never buy cables these days without a good return policy or in-home demo. That's the reason I was willing to take a chance on an unknown brand like Veritas Cables, and it has really paid off. Any brand that doesn't allow quick and easy returns, I just won't bother with them at this point.

A brand could have great marketing, reputation, lots of reviews, but none of that matters until I hear it in my own system. And if that's too difficult or expensive to accomplish, I will move on to the next option.

@V-Fi thats exactly why infigo does our demo program. Most cables you can try before you buy. Makes sense at this level.

@Calvinj A few months ago you had offered to let me borrow the Infigo USB cable for a demo. Which was a nice gesture! I have since already borrowed one from a friend and really enjoyed it. Excellent cable, one of the best I've heard in my system. I'll write up my thoughts when I get a chance.

I did want to clarify the details though. On the Infigo website I only see the Sparkle Series USB. Is that a totally different product? Or do they both coexist in the lineup? And if so, what is the pricing on the Cryogen and where can it be purchased?

I need to check with my friend but the one I borrowed had a sort of baby blue label with the Infigo Audio text on it, while the one on the website is a black label.

Yes the baby blue lighter one is the cryogenic one. It is selling now for 2k but I would do $1600. We will be updating the site soon. I have one in stock that I can get out to you

Shoot me a private message I will mail you out one

@V-Fi send me a message and I will get this cable out to you.

Calvin, I'm actually still quite pleased with the Veritas Audax Reference I'm using. The Infigo Cryogen (thanks for clarifying the model) is the closest I've come to finding anything better, but in the end I slightly prefer the Veritas option in my system. Both are extremely good cables, clearly better than the many others I've tried from all different price ranges. If I didn't already have the Veritas I would absolutely be purchasing the Cryogen. Thank you for the kind offer!

So that you know I give free 3 week demos. So we also have speaker cables and interconnects. You can try those if you like or if you wanted a longer demo of the cryogenic let me know. Anyone reading this. We give free demos. You only pay shipping back.

This seems like a private discussion that fits better on the PM system.
