TotalDac d1-CD CD transport

For informations, I have test Grimm CC1 between the d1-CD transport and the Mark Levinson N360S.
I stay just with the d1-CD transport and the Mark Levinson N360S.
I can't explain why, but I prefer listen it without the Grimm CC1.
With the Esoteric K-03XS, I prefer listen it with the Grimm CC1 between the K-03XS and the Mark Levinson N360S.

I have a great advice.
Don't try to listen the TotalDac d1CD transport in your system, you will keep it !!!!
In one review, the CC1 was used with the Esoteric to great effect.

can the transport still play a CD if you don't cover it with the metallic lid?
No. Cover must be on the transport.
It's for security.

The CD transport is made to detect a metallic cover, to protect the user from the maser and to detect automatically a CD change.

Four months with the TotalDac D1-CD transport, after some test with tweaks, I will let this transport with the original foots.
I have test Ansuz Darkz DTC, Nordost Kone TC,AC, BC and Qpoint too...
It's better with because I have a lot of detail, but I lost the density of the sound...I would say, the transport, without this tweaks , is very musical and I lost this when I try some tweaks.
So the definitive setup is :
TotalDac D1-CD with original foots
TotalDac black AES cable works exceptionally good with this drive.
No tweaks
No Furutech flux 50 NCF.
No Grimm CC1
I have revopod and other footers, also has the result that the original footers are better!
