The new audiophile vinyl series The Original Source from Deutsche Grammophon (AAA)

Oh oh.
Deutschegrammophonall.shop

Odd name.

The link is suddenly in Russian.

A fraud? I do think so. Sorry.

As to which vendor, I did get one in this series from Amazon that clearly was someone else's return they re-sold to me.
The outer jacket had been re-sealed and the hype sticker was 90 degrees out of place.
I returned it to Amazon, ordered another from Amazon, and that one was new/fresh.

This is an issue generally with Amazon; they do this with all sorts of goods. We bought a pair of tweezers that clearly had been opened, dropped on their points, and returned. For this reason with many name brand items I just buy direct and cut out Amazon unless the savings/shipping is significant. Just avoids some of this hassle.

I can't seem to open up a way to order the two new OS releases, they're mentioned on the DG website, but no link to order them.

They are on the DG website now 'spiritofmusic' ;

Thanks...they must have heard me all the way over in Germany.

Still waiting. Parcelforce in the UK is a shambles tbh.

Mine arrived Tuesday. This was the fastest delivery I have had from them. They were not delayed in customs this time.

But, their packaging is still a joke. Fortunately, the box set arrived intact.

One quibble - if we ordered from the website and were first in line, why did I get such a high serial number (2833)?

Hi 'oldvinyl',
Yes I have always wondered that. I have bought all of the batches and ordered them within 24 hours (some only an hour) of a new batch being announced (normally from our WBF members or an email from DG).

FYI 'spiritofmusic';
Unknown to me, this batch came unusually through UK Customs quite quickly.
UK Parcel Force didn't email me though to pay for the customs charge. Instead, Royal Mail posted a very small card which was a notice to pay the Customs charge (three methods - I used their online website method) that was stuck between the normal post. If one of my family members hadn't have noticed (by chance) and given it to me ( luckily it was addressed to me) it could easily have gone in the bin with the rest of the trash post we normally receive !

I like the Acoustic Sounds subscription model. Guaranteed low serial number, superb packaging and shipping. No hassle.

<start rant>
How do we get their attention to treat their customers better?

It's like DG wants to produce a top notch product and their distributor wants to ignore the customer.

They can do better.
<end rant> :eek:
