The EU plans to ban new cars with combustion engines starting in 2035. This is only permitted if the combustion engine is used solely for charging the battery. Classic cars over 30 years old get H license plates in Germany, and they're still allowed to be driven. You can be sure that spare parts for combustion engines won't be available from 2035 onwards. This is how you can easily ensure that only electric cars are on the roads.
