The Boys is an excellent 8 episode series on Amazon Prime about superheroes who abuse their power to hurt innocents, and are in reality controlled by corporates who make money of superhero memorabilia, movies, etc. A small team of ex CIA operatives battles the corporate and the superheroes and brings them down. Excellent plots and writing. Superheroes shown with good super power but very human in behavior

I read the comics. The fact that there's no V for the heroes in this makes it garbage.

Just watched the trailer.

Really? It seems to be trying a bit too hard to be edgy/funny, but just lapsing into ultraviolence for it's own sake.

I hope I'm not alone, but I hate the strain of stupidly explicit gore and sadism that has snuck into things w stuff like Kiss Ass and Kingsman, and now this.

And what's w the breathey exaggerated Mockney accent? It's bad enough w Idris Elba in Luther.

Pass.

You should judge these things by trailers and audio gear by display at hifi shows
