Met him once at Lito G's place introduced to me by a collegue from Lipa who has the same specialty as Dr Flor. When I met him he was starting out in this hobby if I recall .

Thank you Doc. For a moment I thought that you and Dr. Flor might be in the same group.

The Synergistic Research Tesla Precision Power Cords likewise sounds great w/ my REF 610T monoblocks .

Great to see your updates, Doc.

Thanks Phil . Advance Happy New Year to you and your Family !

Happy New Year too, Doc!

Just an update , I have finally upgraded my JMW 12.7 metal tonearm ( VPI HR-X) to VPI’s latest armwand the VPI FatBoy Unipivot. I was going to go for the Gimbal Version but decided last minute to go Uni because my VPI TNT 6 already has a Gimbal tonearm ( Kuzma Stogi REF 313VTA) .
Compared to the old metal tonearm it was no contest . This 3D FatBoy arms are very good and is worth the upgrade .

tdh888, may I ask how you rate the Kuzma Stogi REF 313VTA arm? Thanks.

I’m very sorry for my late reply Pallen . Regarding the Stogi REF 313VTA it’s a user friendly tonearm . VTA on the fly, Azimuth micrometer adjustment , VTF and antiskate very easy to adjust . I’m sure your familiar w/ them since your a Kuzma owner yourself ( 4 point 11” and STOGI REF 313)
Regarding the sonics I’m sure it’s much better than my first Kuzma Stogi REF 9” . It’s smoother and musical . Bass is also a strong suite . And the advantage of easy and repeatable adjustment of the VTA is such a big plus . Very happy w/ it . Now the question will I upgrade to the 4 point 11” , that I don’t know but because as of now I prefer arms that are 12” . I’ve auditioned already the 14” 4 point and I’m not sure if given the chance I’ll get one because I love the 313 VTA , and it’s bang for the buck w/ regards to the price .

Hi guys ,

Just an update , I sold my excellent performing REF 5SE Linestage and got my self the REF Anniversay 40 linestage . In my system it much better than my REF5 SE . Audiophile friends of mine told me w/ the amount of cash I spent I should have gotten my self a preowned REF 6 . I have no remorse and I’m pretty confident that the Anniversary REF 40 might equal or surpass the performance of a REF 6 .

Congratulations - I did the same move when the Anniversary was launched 10 years ago, but coming from a REF5 . It was a sudden decision - I got the first unit to come to my country unheard . I never regretted it and still consider it to be one of the top preamplifiers - so much that at some point I sold it to a godd friend, later regretted the decision and got another one that is still with me!
