I am a long time appreciative follower and member of WBF and, with this post, now a contributor. I recently purchased an LPS from UpTone Audio, their new JS-4. I was pleased with its build quality and performance, so I've arranged to purchase a second one for my system in our mountain home. I am powering my EtherRegen and my Roon One in our city home with the unit. Besides hearing a clear sound quality improvement over my previous S-Booster unit (more pronounced tonal and textural detail), I found the output of the two-channel JS-4 sufficient to power up the Roon One with only one channel. I have done so multiple times without any problems. This left Channel two for my EtherRegen. I mention this because the published power requirements of the Roon One are the same as the rated output of a single channel channel of the JS-4, which might imply a problem with any additional power requirements at boot up. However, Alex at UpTone says you have an additional 15-20% available power for peak needs, which I have found to be sufficient for power cycling the Roon One.
I should also mention that I do not use the available DSP feature on the Roon One. YMMV always!
