That's not easy. I'd likely take Integrity+Product and rely on my own limited expertise. But I'd be much more likely to reach a suboptimal result-been there, done that exact thing. Fortunately, I think there really are people in this business who have a deep understanding of the field and how to put together a system that meets their clients' needs-I really do think a lot of the WBF members are in that category. There are also people selling audio gear that could just as easily be selling refrigerators or whatever you put in front of them.

the burmester 159's, proven, if set up properly they are mighty hard to beat, being able to dial in the dampening is a major deal, you can adjust this and it effects both bass control and the upper end especially vocals, etc, 48 output devices that are thermally controlled and matched as well gives it a very liquid midrange presence

the horns are very efficient and typically are played with tube amp. The horn is a more efficient speaker than the Goebel

So using inefficient as the adjective was an incorrect descriptor on my part with out clarification

HTH
THe Gobel Divin Majestic is 98db efficient.

I wonder what I would like. As in Stelavox, Burmester or Soulution. I have heard Gryphon. Gryphon can be very Neutral. I have heard it applied well with Wilsons and all I heard was music. No Wilson sound like I hear when Wilson powered with Dagostino or Audio Research or CH Precision. Its different when the amp adds nothing. That means everything is the color of your speaker. Do you really like your speaker. Or do you like the way your speaker plays with a amp that plays to its needs.

My last comment made me wonder, what speaker manufacturer use Stellavox to design their speakers. For that matter, out of the big 10 speaker manufacturers, what amps do they keep to test their equipment.

The Göbel High End Divin Majestic is a high-efficiency, 3-way loudspeaker with a symmetrical bass reflex design, featuring two 18-inch bass drivers, two 8-inch midrange drivers, and an AMT tweeter. Its technical specifications include a 98 dB sensitivity, a nominal impedance of 4 Ohms, a frequency response of 21-24,000 Hz (-3dB), and a crossover frequency of 120 Hz / 1600 Hz. The speakers are massive, measuring 226 cm (H) x 79 cm (W) x 114 cm (D) and weighing 530 kg each without packaging

98dB into 4 ohms is 95dB with a 2.83V input signal. So, my guesstimate of 95dB for a single watt is pretty correct. It will make 98dB with 2 watts.

There is a resemblance.
The competition has been going on for decades. Who's copying from whom? I don't know. ;)take a look at the tape machines

If the speakers are supposed to work with powerful SS amplifiers, the relevant specification is sensitivity - sound level at 1m with a 2.83Vrms noise signal. I think it is why the manufacturer says 98 dB sensitivity , we should consider it as true unless we have measurements saying otherwise. Surely if someone wants to use them with SET amplifiers or tubes he needs to calculate efficiency per watt.

CH Precision seems to have won the Swiss Amp wars. Analytical as hell to me, but what do I know? Looks like CH has hired the wilson marketing guy, Jon Giolias. Watch out!!

How big and heavy are these new Stella amps? How many boxes are needed to get to TOTAL NIRVANA? And how many for ULTIMATE NIRVANA?

Most importantly, old rich guys seem to like to get off on the app that controls the CH amps. Do these Stella amps have an app to control the amps?
