I am inserting an integrated amp into my system and ideally I’d like it to be in the same place as my amp. Currently I have a 6’ RCA running from the preamp to the amp (on a separate stand) and would like to use that same interconnect to run from my phono pre to the integrated amp. The interconnect is isolated well from electrical interference but I still wonder if sending such a tiny signal through a relatively long RCA is going to compromise the sound versus using a shorter interconnect?

Especially if the cable is single-ended you want it to be as short as possible. But I suspect in this case that your phono section is able to handle a 6' cable length, and FWIW the signal it will carry isn't that tiny- if you hooked it up directly to your power amps you'll see what I mean!
