My headshell is the CS-1000 as I got it before the new one came out. I'm pretty happy with the PP-2000 and could easily live with it as my only cartridge. What you wrote above is my opinion as well: "relaxed, sophisticated almost sensual." It doesn't sound sluggish or undynamic at all, so those traits are really special.

I think the CS-1200 headshell is the same as the CS-1000 except the headshell leads, which are now the new triple C cable Phasemation are using.

Cheers

I have put about 40 hours on the PP-2000 and been playing it all week.
Wonderful musical cart and seems to he able to play any musical genre I have thrown it so far.
Sounds pretty amazing on Jazz and Jazz vocals which was expected. It is really sounding good on electronic music which I was not sure how it would fare and imdie rock is being handled easily.

Sound wise it has seemed to have settled down - maybe it might change up to 70 hours a little more

I will probably look at getting the Phasemation CS-1200 headshell like Ed P, which is a little lighter than my old CS-1.
Hello XV-1,

You have so many cartridges..If you have done a match, which prefer you, please ?
I will try perhaps a PP-1000.
You have Lyra Atlas Lambda SL, Etna SL, Delos, Dynavector XV-1s, Technics EPC100mk4, Ortofon A90, GM Royal, GM Classic, Denon DL-S1, ESC'd 103R, Audio Tech AT25, OC9II, Linn ESC'd Troika..
I don't like Ortofon A90, I llike AT-OC9ML III ( I don't know the OC9 ML II ).
For the moment, I have two Audio-Technica ART-9 (I think I will sell them) and ZYX 4D (Beautifull cartridge).

Thanks

Thanks. All excellent carts in their own right and all have different sonic traits.

Perhaps the best cart of all is the Technics EPC100mk4, however the suspension is a little soft now after 40 years and virtually too hard to bring back to original factory spec.

My fav is the Lyra Atlas. I have been thru all variations and it's still the quickest and most linear cart of them all.

Thank you very much.
Art-9 matches well with my VPI.
Art-9 doesn't match good with my Technics. I have the sound of a CD player with this turntable....very funny...
I prefer the ZYX with it.
