Just read the review in TAS from MF who did a compare between his OMA K3 , and the WB GMT One System in favour of the later. ,
The drive system remembers me on my Garrard 201 multi pole drive turntable .
This kind of drive is special , three phase and without feedback speed correction .
MF mentioned a white paper about this long run running design project , does any one has this paper or know were to find it ?

As far as I know he (MF) now owns the WB GMT ONE turntable and has returned OMA K3 to the manufacturer.

That is the great Craig Milnes who has been on this quest to get the best from vinyl for nearly 40 years. I have met him a couple of times and he is a very friendly person who is clearly unbelievably passionate about music and vinyl.

I have heard the GMT One twice in the last couple of months (AXPONA and Whittlebury) and both times it sounded wonderful and it was difficult to tear myself away from the rooms.

As I understand it, Michael Fremer had agreed to offer his K3 back to OMA if he ever came to move it on, and it went back to OMA. My experience of MF is that he is very straight.
For me the interesting part is the design concept of the motor which is patented, a multi pole motor three-phase drive without using feedback.
All DD tables are using some kind of control most feedback related influence the sound imho .I'm glad I have seen the white paper draft version and looking forward to the final version.
In the meantime working on my own dd table .
