Report: Lakers' Kyle Kuzma to return Friday against Mavericks
From NBA Twitter reports

The Lakers (3-1) are beginning a three-game road trip (Dallas, San Antonio, Chicago) and will have a key player back in their rotation.

Third-year forward Kyle Kuzma will make his season debut on Friday against the Mavericks, per Shams Charania of The Athletic.

Kuzma has been sidelined with a left foot injury that he sustained while training with USA Basketball this summer. He averaged 18.7 points, 5.5 rebounds and 2.5 assists last season.

Good point. That refusal was puzzling to Pop and the ownership of the Spurs since the Spurs' medical staff had already cleared Kawhi re his quad injury. Has the CBA gotten the players' to be this powerful, that they can choose when they want to play or not to play? I remember Stern giving the Spurs a fine for sitting Duncan, Parker and Manu for no injury related reason. Silver has been too soft, on the rules, and even in his own ethical demeanor, allowing Rich Paul to go free from tampering statements he made to Silver in a restaurant table. If Kawhi and AD will miss 12 games, I mean why not miss 24 or 30 games, or play every other month leading to the playoffs, if they even get there. The only thing I recall that has tightened are the hard fouls after the Pacers-Pistons fracas, but aside from that, traveling, tampering and players resting have gone haywire.
