Wow. Wish I was there, Steve. I can imagine the great time you had with them. :)

Relieved that the C's got their first win , at home, in the Kemba era. :) Good team effort, lots of assists, and good hustle. Jaylen Brown, who just got a big 4 yr extension deal, did quite well. So if the C's get Hayward, Brown, Tatum and Walker in double figures each game, they have a good chance of winning.

I'm sitting here waiting for Lakers vs Jazz

After the season opener in the battle for LA when the Lakers were leading early on and in a blink of an eye the Clipps without PG put away the Lakers. Made me a believer that the Clipps are indeed the odds on favorites to win it all They have a deeper bench than the Lakers and Lou Williams coming off the bench is hard to beat

Well after 3 periods, a low scoring game but Lakers up 74-55

Lakers bench actually looks half decent tonight

Will they find a way to lose it in the 4th as Utah has made a few rallies

Well a win is a win. Not great but reassuring.

Not sure I’m liking Dwight’s new doo

This adopted amigo had a blast Phil, wish you were here too! I wish Marge and I had been able to leave Manila earlier so we could have joined the wonderful system of Marty too. Alas, Jim and I needed to complete some heavy work.

Marty and Liza bumped NYC up exponentially on my list of favorite cities. Methinks I shall be coming here more often. Do't think I'm not keepig tabs on you though. I want that Klemmer OWN LOL

Looking at the Boxscore McGee and Howard did nothing except contribute a few minutes

I found that whenever AD or LBJ were on the bench Utah always mustered a rally which tells me the Lakers bench is weak

In the final play of the game I thought I was a sleep and dreaming as I thought the Greek Freak was playing for the Lakers . I forgot that the Lakers signed his younger brother Kostas Antetokounmpo who is a spitting image of his brother

I wonder what CP3 is thinking as the Thunder opens the season at 0-2

In the west I am still wondering which team can pose a threat to the Clippers and so far I am not seeing one. They will only be more of a force to reckon with when PG returns. I am hoping for the same when Kyle Kuzma returns for the Lakers. I understand he is doing much better and is scrimmaging now

Haha Jack, a silent lurking shark.

Wished I was there too with all of you. But New York needs some bumping up to me after Kyrie left us to play there. :D

Steve,
Shall I petition Silver to ban brothers tandem? :D

I saw one play where Davis deprived Howard of 2 points. His alley oop to Howard went in the basket, proving the Lakers don't really need Howard. :D

To me Dwight Howard looks like a shadow of his former self. He seems thin and gaunt. Gone are his huge and muscular shoulders. I think Howard and Westbrook must go to the same barber for hair cuts

For some reason I don't have any sympathy for Chris Paul. The Rockets did the same thing to him that he did to the Clippers. He's a ring chaser that got burned.....not that I am bitter although it appears that the Clippers are better off without him. :)

The Clippers have looked good so far but it is still early. Lakers are still figuring out how the pieces fit together and the Warriors are depleted. Clippers get the Suns tonight but one of their best players, center Deandre Ayton, has been suspended for a failed drug test. I was looking forward to seeing Ayton play but that won't happen tonight.

Still so early in the season so only time will tell. Several NBA prognosticators really like the Nuggets and have picked them to take first place in the West in the regular season so keep an eye on Denver, too.

We saw Billy Joel in concert at Staples Center a few years back. He seemed old and tired to me. Maybe he puts on a better show in his home town. Call me an old curmudgeon but it seems to me me a lot of the old timers are milking it. My wife disagrees with me and always goes on and on about how great Mick Jagger and the Stones were when she saw them at Dodger Stadium.

you got that one wrong. He plays MSG once a month and promises to continue doing such as long as MSG is sold out. Far from old and tired. As for the Stones you won't see a better show. Jagger as a great grand father is so good that watching him strut his stuff is worth the price of admission

I stand corrected!

....except for the LA Billy Joel concert I saw in person. He gave an uninspired performance that evening. Must have been an aberration. Perhaps he was miffed the concert didn't sell out.

could have been during those years when his good friend Elton suggested Joel needed an intervention for drugs
