WBF loves to come to the defense of its favorite sons and for unknown reasons can't accept the difference of opinions regarding such.
In my opinion where there is smoke there generally is fire. There is a who Forum and many threads directed towards Taiko and IMO these discussions and the commercials and testimonials should be expressed in that location. There seems to be overreaction to certain companies to defend them while others are fair game everywhere. What's up with that?

FACT: units were damaged in a fire.
FACT: People have had orders since January 2024 and still haven't received them;

2) You have no idea who I have talked with yet you suggest I haven't. Talk about dishonesty and lies. I have done my research and talked with customers and dealers along with reading real world accounts;

3) False conclusions? A high end dealer completely dropped the line due to the software issues.

4) You are completely triggered and trying to shut down discussion. The fact you are so personally upended by this topic makes normal people wonder what's really going on. No normal person would be this triggered.

You can claim all you'd like you're not trying to shut down conversation but it's plain to all you are. It's like when someone says "I agree...but...."

The more you guys keep attacking people, the louder the drum beat about Taiko is going to get having the opposite effect of you trying to shut down discussion.

no I wouldn't and I don't agree with that type of action. I have told Caesar I think his behavior is out of bounds but the rest of the post explaining issues and calling names is just wrong. Put him on ignore like I have a dozen or so.

Taiko stuff belongs in the huge Forum they already have . I personally don't have anything to do with it, don't have any comments , don't want to talk about it. I don't really care this is just another example of people defending brands which may or may not have serious issues. This sort of stuff is either in bounds or out of bounds you can't have it both ways. Just like the Dartzeel thread, The MBL thread, The ARC thread.
So pick a lane people and stay in it. It can't be ok for one and not another.

Did you know about the supposed fire? Did you know units were damaged? Did you know there are still outstanding orders from January of 2024 - 1.5 years ago?

If yes and you are still here shilling, are you not complicit in any potential replay of Dartzeel? Will you apologize to the people for your actions?

I PERSONALLY would want my money back NOW and the last people I'd let try and control me are uniformed kool aid fan-boi's.

really how can someone pay ultra high cost and as it arrives it’s old news. Where is the feel good part start and last at all.
Msb is an admired brand I agree but things move too fast and future promises of upgrades are false promises most times

I think in honesty Wadax while Uber expensive still is a product that was made and completed then sold.
going back to the compare that I felt should not have happened still shows me Wadax makes a product that’s finished in that add on upgrades are just that an add on if one of wants too.
it’s a one box and your done if you want to.

This could be an indictment of many industries, especially automobiles. If one buys something they really enjoy there is no need to upgrade. I drove a 1991 Japanese truck for 25 years as my only vehicle and never felt the urge to upgrade. I even developed an emotional attachment that was revealed when I finally sold it. Humans!

Yes, but as most of the time it evolved to other DACs - an usual feature of WBF threads, that IMO makes this forum an interesting space for discussion.

Surely I disagree with unfounded insinuations and aggressive postings or name calling, but threads flow (with the exception of system threads) are self moderated and we do not need extra moderators controlling them, except for TOS violations.

If we purge the animosity of some posts, the presented intrinsic aspects of of small manufacturers are an interesting subject.

I thought it might be helpful to clear up a few misunderstandings in your thread.

You summed up the main points better than anyone, so I’ll go through them one by one.

1. There has never been a fire or fire damage to any of our units. The only fire-related thing we have ever dealt with was back in May 2023, when the facility that does the chrome finish on our routers and switches had a fire. It caused a few small delays and that was it. I think that story might have gotten mixed up along the way.
2. The long wait times for Olympus orders are really a result of the demand being far beyond what we can build, which while challenging is also a sign of how strongly this model has resonated with people. The Olympus sold out almost instantly, and at 3 to 4.5 units a week, fulfilling all orders takes roughly 65 to 100 weeks. The anodising process is our biggest bottleneck, with around half of the parts not making it through, and even without that, the builds are time-intensive by design. That is the nature of high-end, hand-built audio gear. You cannot rush it without compromising what makes it special. We have explored ways to speed up, but there are natural limits. I completely understand how frustrating it can be when ordering just an hour earlier or later changes the delivery by months. Refunds are handled entirely by our dealers, and policies can vary. Cancellations happen for all sorts of reasons such as health, finances or simply a change of heart.
3. The one dealer who stopped carrying our brand made a business call that made sense for them. Honestly, I would have done the same in their position.
4. We do run an alpha and beta testing program that is open to any customer when it is active. Right now it is closed as we get closer to release. At the moment, Roon is the only software that ships with our servers. It is possible that some of the reported bugs came from features still in testing, which is exactly why we run these programs before public release.

You have a customer who has been waiting for his unit since last year who was very specific about the fire and how it melted the boards, what you said how it impacted business, supposedly begged him not to tell anyone, and were very detailed about what you said next steps were going to be in regards to the fire that damaged units including his and how it supposedly extended the delay.

BTW he already owns so much of your stuff not sure why he would claim you said that if not true.

I will inquiry with him again and let him know you are saying none of that ever happened.

Sorry I didn't fall for your PM's you sent me today when you were upset this thread was locked so you took your anger out by casting aspersions in PM (and laughingly were demanding an apology be sent to wil) and tried to bait me into an argument. You need to work on getting a life.

And here you go - this was just posted on my public Facebook page. In public for all to see. He included a screen shot on the FB post of conversations. Fanboi-Extremus is a terrible disease that affects the brain.

Here is Taiko's opportunity to make this right by everyone who wants a full refund. Let's see if they take it.
