LampizatOr Golden Atlantic + TRP

Yes- you can definitely do this, I do this all the time. After purchasing my GA TRP3 I realized that I really didn’t care much for the newer tubes that were out there, so I turned to the used/NOS market.
I sometimes do bulk buys but I also buy pairs and singles. I keep them around until I can round up whatever is required to complete a quad. Surprisingly, I’m often able to find matching tubes that were produced within the same month/year but that’s just a bonus. I typically just try to find matches that are from the same production series, meaning facility and year range of production.
Thank you.

Attention when using SR fuses, it is recommended to choose values at least +25% higher than those specified by the device manufacturer. In the TRP, as far as I know, many people in Europe use 3.15A, small, slow-blow fuses. Honestly Swiss Digital Fuse Box are the best fuses I’ve tried so far (tried many - all SR, Audio Magic, Hifi Tuning, Gustard, etc.). Total game-changers and an absolute steal.
Have you tried SR Master? It's expensive, but very very good

Are we talking about two different philosophies when it comes to using a Lampi in either a single ended or balanced mode. @Socrates428 are you saying with a good balanced preamp that will convert a single ended signal to a balance signal, a single ended Lampi will do just as well as a balanced Lampi? @Designsfx and are you saying with a fully balanced preamp and amp it’s better to use a balanced Lampi? I’m wondering if I would have done just as well ordering a single ended Atlantic TRP instead of a balanced model?
Single ended is not truly balanced- regardless of how you wire the cable.
