OK, I guess I can save $10,000 and delete the Torus power box from the equipment list. It would only go Swoosh! anyway!

Good point!

But I am starting with Mogami anyway for length measurement purposes.

In the UK, we call Cheap Cheng by the better known name, Cheap As Chips.
Gosh, Dave is really good at getting his customers to save cash, no more pricey cables, modestly priced 3012R, no Entreq etc.
Shame he has to break the spell by getting the customer to spend the $100k saved not buying these, on an AS2000.
Now if he'd recommended a Linn from the 1970s, unmodded and unmolested for $1k, I'd REALLY have been impressed LOL.

Just because Fremer says it, doesn't make it gospel. I have bought several of his highly recommended titles in the past, most have been marginal at best. Recently acquired his highly touted Vanessa Fernandez When the Levee Breaks....nothing special at all...and unfortunately IF you are an old LZ fan ( like I am) and have any idea what the musical message is behind these songs, you would realize that Vanessa Fernandez simply cannot pull it off. Not surprising to me, as a fellow musician, because RP's voice is basically 'one of a kind'...but please...what were they thinking!! As to the SQ of this recording...Fremer states it's an 11...what on a scale that goes up to 20! LOL.

I don't think David deals with low end stuff. ...Only with what's best.

Dear Mr. Karmeli,

The Opus/SME setup that you coached me to do. Man..it is sublime... my reference combo setup for fool-you-real listening experience. It makes me busy trying to get my SAT/GFS up to the same level..still a notch or two behind though..I am not giving up. Pls don’t forget about the VdH.

Kind regards,
Tang

Tang, have you changed anything in the Opus/SME set up since you took that video of the Dino song and posted it? If so, what did you do?

No. Not a thing. Just keep playing. Burn the phono and tonearm cable. They were nos out of the box.

I have all of the London counterparts to the great Decca's. They aren't even close in sound quality...despite what Fremer has said in the past. He doesn't even have a respectable ED1 Decca collection to compare the London's against.

Grrr. You are a big meanie.

Maybe a little harsh on London. They aren't that bad but the Decca's are noticeably better and not by a small subjective margin.

So I assume now that you find either (London or Decca) better than Speaker's Corner reissues?
