I improved my streaming by adding three accessories to my AT&T router.

Which Xfinity cable modem? And what kind of connector do you use for the modem?

I'm curious because my setup uses an Xfinity XB8 "Gateway" and I didn't think there was a way to use an LPS instead of the supplied SMPS.
I have the XB7 gateway, but when I Google "Which power supply comes with xfinity gateway xb8", it returns "The Xfinity Gateway XB8 comes with an EPS6 power supply. This power supply is a 12V AC adapter." You can look at your current power supply to confirm Volt and Amp specs, but likely 12V/3A or maybe 3.5A.

Then, when I Google "Which size barrel connector does the xfinity gateway xb8 EPS6 power supply utilize", it returns "The Xfinity Gateway XB8 EPS6 power supply uses a 5.5mm outer barrel connector with a 2.1mm inner diameter. This is a common barrel connector size. The complete designation for this connector is 5.5x2.1mm. It's also worth noting that some replacements may include a pin inside the connector, so it's important to match the polarity and tip size when ordering a replacement."

To aid in confirmation, when I Google "different size dc power cable barrel connectors", it returns many images of various-size barrel connectors, which you can visually compare to your current power supply connector, and measure if desired.

The LPS options I would consider would be the LHY LPS50VA (12V/3.5A), or the TeraDak LPS w/ R-Core Transformer (12V/4A). Both offer the 5.5mm/2.1mm barrel connector as a standard choice with LPS.
Tek Audio - LHY LPS50VA
Kam Audio - TeraDak LPS

Kam Audio also sell upgraded DC power cables, including the Vanguard White Label Silver DC cable, which I prefer. Chris @ Kam Audio can ensure you get the right DC power cable for your LPS (either GX-12 or GX-16 connector on back of LPS), should you choose to replace the stock cable that comes with the LPS. If you order from Kam Audio, I recommend paying the extra $3 for e-Packet tracking on shipment.

Todd @ Tek Audio is equally easy to deal with. I have successfully dealt with both re-sellers (I'm not affiliated with either).

All this said, the gains in audio and video quality in utilizing LPS with modems, routers, FMCs and switches are noticeable (my TV's stream from Amazon Fire Sticks). I highly recommend LPS's anywhere you can replace a switch-mode power supply throughout your entire home.

Thank you!! Appreciate the help.

I also got the same search reply about the 12V supply, but I will check. I upgraded from the XB7 and the SMPS looks identical from the outside (form factor).

Are you using the LHY or the TeraDak for your XB7?

I have an LHY on my XB7, but in wandering around the house looking for LPS, I count 3 LHY, 4 TeraDak, and 2 Topping LPS's. Topping make a really nice little LPS called Topping P50 that has 2 USB outputs of 1A each at 5V which is ideal for powering things like Amazon Firesticks. Like many higher priced units, Topping use the well regarded Talema toroidal transformer in the P50. The Talema is sometimes offered as an upgrade by some LPS manufacturers, and is well worth it in my opinion.

My pleasure to try to help. I know my response above was very wordy (and may be known info to some/many), but hope that some forum members who haven't considered LPS's to replace all of their noisy switch-mode power supplies will have a path. I have gained knowledge in my short time here and am happy to contribute when I can.
