Guys I have a 17x27 treated room that I want to put my Classic Audio t1.4 Horn speakers in- Normally I use the triangle of equal distance between speakers and listening position-= I just tried the Cardas and Real trap calculators and it show that I should have my speakers around 7 feet apart and 14" from listening position- This seems to close together for me but it also goes against what I always heard about speaker placement - Any advice- thanks

Or, you could just use your ears....after all they are the only ones that need to be satisfied.
You still need to know where to start, and most of those methods above provide not only a starting place (often found by "using your ears") but then fine-tuning advice (always "using your ears")

Hi Bebop,

As you know the directivity of horns does allow them to be closer to side walls than more conventional loudspeakers. If you think the cards method has them too close together, my take is that your instincts are correct.

Cheers,

Jack
