Hello to all and my name is Lee a long time HiFi enthusiast who lives across the pond in the good old England, UK. I love HiFi forums and Im a member of quite a few around the world. You guys on here seem an enthusiastic bunch so i ve taken the plunge and decided to join. I love valve based systems and use a 20W SE amp through Audio Note speakers, my room is quite small by USA standards coming in at 12' x 12' x 8' but it does me!

My musical tastes vary, Im currently listening to Bobo Stenson Trio and next up on the playlist is Led Zeppelin at the BBC in 1971, after that will be John McLaughlin Trio at the Festival Hall UK in 1989, so this gives you a taste for my musical variety. Prior to this I was listening to some Henri Texier, Ladysmith Black Mambazo and E.S.T

In due course I will post some pics of my room and set-up but in the meantime guys have a nice day

Forgot to say I'm off to the Bristol HiFi show this sunday, if I get chance Ill try and take a few pics of my favourite rooms, by all accounts Naim are showing the new hefty priced statement range (£200k ), If I get lucky enough yo have a listen i will post my thoughts, apparently you have to get an allotted time to have a listen.

Very best

Lee

Welcome, Lee. Please do post your thoughts on the Bristol show and the new Naim statement amp. The amp is apparently a game changer ( as perhaps it should be at the asking price!). BTW, IF Linn is also there, i would be VERY interested in what you think of their new gear.

Ive just checked the list of brands at the show and Linn are not there this year. I dont ever recall them being there in all the years Ive been going to the show

Hi Joe, yes mate London is a great place for sure, we go quite regular, I live around 100 miles away. Im going to the Camden Rocks festival this year in Camden Town. Camden is a great place to be at the weekend, they have a large market which has quite alot of vinyl sellers and is always worth a look round.

If you wanted to check out some cool hifi whilst you are there then have a look at KJ Westone, they are a luxury brand specialist based just off Oxford St and sell Dartzeel, Dan D'Agostino and Wislon Audio to name a few!

Welcome Lee!

I notice you have a Nottingham TT. I have an NA Horizon SE and upgrading my Rega RB250 to an Origin Live has been a consideration. What table do you have and why did you select the OL arm? My cartridge is an Ortofon 2M Black.

Hi John, I have the Hyperspace with the heavy upgrade kit. The OL arm was already on the TT when I brought it, I did plan on changing it to a SME arm but have not got round to it, in all honesty the arm works a treat and does the job very well. The cart is a great cart for the money, seems to work well with the OL arm and the EAR phono stage. Here is a picture of the TT. Youll have to excuse the picture disk, it only acts as a dust cover!

Ill throw one in of the cart as well

Lovely piece of kit you have there! :D Here's a look at mine. And although it was the short-lived entry-level TT to the NA stable I'm quite happy with its performance.
