Yes, but I have my doubts. Are you overall happy with the speakers?

Of course, I am still saving to get an original…
Is the efficiency of the new Mach 8 Evoluzione the same as the Mach 8 XL (98dB / 8 ohms)? If you like the Grandinote Mach 8 XL, I suggest you go and listen to the Mach 8 Evoluzione, it will be presented at the next hifi fair in Washington.
Maybe due to the jump factor going so high even a Wilson needed a seatbelt.Due to what?
I don't know, I have not any specs about this new model. The next time that I meet Max (CEO Grandinote) I will ask more information.I can only say that the dimensions are remarkable, the height is almost two meters and the finishes are fantastic. I hope to hear them soonIs the efficiency of the new Mach 8 Evoluzione the same as the Mach 8 XL (98dB / 8 ohms)?
Interesting. All I can say is that I strongly prefer what I have heard from Grandinote speakers than WA….YMMV…Surprise and good news: Mephisto is now better with the Grandinote speakers, than both own Grandinote amp and Jadis. Bad news: Mephisto is even better with WA speakers on a large scale orchestral music![]()
I understand your point of view. I love WA, in my setup there Is Avalon but I think to change for Grandinote. I follow the test of abeidrovInteresting. All I can say is that I strongly prefer what I have heard from Grandinote speakers than WA….YMMV…
Totally different from 8xl. I think It will be the new flagshipMore than 4x the current 8XL??
Same number of same sized woofer and tweeter. Bigger cabinet is the only visible difference. Maybe the drivers and tweeter are better quality…maybe. So, not very different from 8XL I would say.Totally different from 8xl. I think It will be the new flagship

The number of speakers is the only thing they have in common. The design, layout, and materials are all new. The structure is entirely carbon fiber with an aluminum front.Same number of same sized woofer and tweeter. Bigger cabinet is the only visible difference. Are the drivers themselves different? Keep in mind that Grandinote speakers do not use filters other than a cap on the tweeter, so there is very little to upgrade there. The 8XL was also using carbon fiber to my knowledge...anyway I can't see how they get to over 4x increase in price...I still really like what I have heard from the brand. The number of speakers is the only thing they have in common. It's all true! I've changed/tried many amps (Modwright, Pass, Moon, etc.). Then I came across the Grandinote. It's an amazing combination. IMHO. Avalon positioning is a ordealAvalon can be made very musical but tough to setb up very responsive to room, minor changes in placement and toe in. I have a friend with Avalon’s never suggested him to change to horns even though a handful of selected horns would be better. It surely is a system one could live with if it works, though finding the perfect amps is an expensive task
Why are they so hard to position? The off-axis dispersion? It's all true! I've changed/tried many amps (Modwright, Pass, Moon, etc.). Then I came across the Grandinote. It's an amazing combination. IMHO. Avalon positioning is a ordeal
