Gian's system - Vyger-Opus vs Techdas AF3, SAT+Lyra Lambda

It's just order of posting. Doesn't change anything in what people have chosen for sound. That said on this thread the challenge more is that things are very close in most cases.

Ah I see the issue. I named them 1 and 2 in YouTube but placed them in the post in the order of 2 and 1. Lol. Sorry for the confusion

Ok, so I chose Vyger for both, at least consistent

One thing about vyger that I heard from both Gian's and especially audioquattr's system is the AF3 cannot do the "getting-into-the-insight-of-music" as well as the Vyger. Kind of thing I heard with my AS. But I am skeptical of the "air floating" LT of Vyger. Yes I heard these from mobile recordings.

Paganini 1-2-3. 1 vivid and emphasizes close in dynamics, while 2 is more laid back and 'wholistic'. 3 seems to be between the two, but more like 1. I like them all, but the material is flattered a bit better by 1.

For male vocal, 2 was the best. The whole-ism serves the voice well, while the vividness is less natural. I suppose from there 3 and then 1, but again, I like all three.

Listening with Sony MDR-Z7 headphones and a tubed headphone amp.

While the horns look beautiful, they seriously lack of bottom end fullness/extension, like Gian’s speakers better.

I was referring to the Vyger qualities. The horns in the first post of that thread lack bottom end it's a kitchen system.

If you want the best bottom end, get horns with bass horns and mid bass FLH

Gian will eventually add subs Nick. The lock down made him more crazy.

Still think somehow AF3P sounds a bit artificial to me especially the bass/midbass, don’t get me wrong it sounds great just the bass/mid-bass a tiny bit of disconnected to the mids/highs. It feels more like listening to a super digital front end compared to Vyger which is more holistic and natural.

If you can assess that from the videos that's very good.

For pagannini, I prefer 3, then 2. I is a distant last because it sounds dead to me.

3 is Opus, 2 is lambda, 1 is the koetsu.

On vocals, 1 is Opus, 2 is again lambda, 3 is koetsu.

Here is another Opus violin

Interesting Ked and also that we had the same order of preferences.

For me the Koetsu was a standout worst (easily). The Opus was miles ahead for me in all aspects. The Lyra impressed me with a more musical perspective than I am used to hearing from the more hifi sounding Lyras.
