RIP.
2016 is a bad year for music. First Glenn Frey, David Bowie, Prince and now Geroge Michael.
Wow. He was a great singer. In the Freddy Mercury tribute upon the death of that Queen singer he was the best, hands down. His version of
Somebody to Love was incredible. He sang Freddy Mercury live better than Freddie could sing his own songs live (studio was a different matter).
And when I heard the first song on his performance "Live at the Palais Garnier, Paris" I was floored. I thought this was one of the most beautiful things I had ever heard.
Pop artists usually don't get to perform at that Paris opera house. George Michael had the talent and class to do it -- brilliantly.

Musical preferences: Pretty much anything. Classical from renaissance to 21st century. Listening a lot to the old masters, but also a lot to 20th century and modern avant-garde classical music, including some screechy one which you can chase the mice out of your house with (at least that's how some would feel about it). Second most listened to genre is jazz, including wild avant-garde jazz. Rock -- classic rock, prog rock, punk rock, jazz rock etc. Also pop and singer-songwriter. Electronica. Important to me: No priorities of one genre over another when it comes to sound capabilities of the system. The reproduction of all types of music must satisfy equally.
