Wow. He was a great singer. In the Freddy Mercury tribute upon the death of that Queen singer he was the best, hands down. His version of Somebody to Love was incredible. He sang Freddy Mercury live better than Freddie could sing his own songs live (studio was a different matter).
And when I heard the first song on his performance "Live at the Palais Garnier, Paris" I was floored. I thought this was one of the most beautiful things I had ever heard.
Pop artists usually don't get to perform at that Paris opera house. George Michael had the talent and class to do it -- brilliantly.
