Looking into purchasing an all-in-one fully refurbished and upgraded garrard 301/401 with a matching plinth (and power supply
Budget is around $8-10K.
Not looking for projects/journeys but a one-stop-shop that can provide a complete package in high quality.
For TD124, there’s Schopper and others, any such shops/workshops for Garrard?

Chris Harban @ Woodsong is where I'd start. A true gentleman and a fabulous craftsman.

Thanks Howie!
Any direct experience with the above?
AFAIK, classic shop (UK) provide only the table without the plinth/armboard.

Leif has the Melco, so make him an offer for his Garradzilla. Best I heard, and his analog can be heard next to his studer

Which one? Their statement? AFAIK they’re above budget.
Yes, the statement. Yes I think new they are above your budget. I think they have a classic version which is less expensive though?
And they have other brands e.g. Lenco which are also within budget I think.

Hey,
Some interpretation is required…
Melco instead of a turntable?
Leif = christensenleif?

Thanks! But the idea is a one-stop-shop that provides everything. I’m familiar with ways to make this into a project (buy 2nd hand on ebay, send for service/ rebuild, buy a separate plinth, platter, power supply - not looking in this direction).
