The new Tesla P85D does 0 to 60 in 3.2sec and holds 5 adults and 2 kids. It also get the equivalent of more than 80 mpg. However, you can only buy about 20 of them for the price of one FXX K. It doesn't have gull wings, but the new Tesla Model X coming out next fall does.

Or you can buy 60 sets of the new Tara speaker cables. :b

Those supercars point however to a more silent future. More and more are hybrid and we may soon long for the noise (music) of a petrol (V8 or V12) engine as some are for LP megastores ... Then again some companies have taken the route of piping synthesized engine noise in the cockpit :)

Yeah regarding the Veyron crash, the first thought that went through my head after seeing the video was that the car had obviously been crashed for the insurance money. Interesting to have that thought confirmed after all this time.
