Etsuro Urushi Bordeaux in the house

The Slagle SUT made little difference and I prefer the Allnic built - in SUTs.

Ultimately, I checked and rechecked any and every setup parameter imaginable with the Etsuro Gold to no avail. I even contacted Franc Kuzma and while he was very responsive and offered his advice, ultimately, I believe it's an incompatibility of the arm and the Etsuro Gold. I also contacted Etsuro who dolled out very general advice, a bit disappointing IMO. I moved on to an Airtight Opus one, which, with a rough setup sounded excellent and even across the frequency spectrum (no high - end tilt up). After suspension break - in recommended via the dealer and optimum setup it sounds simply amazing to my ears.

My next move would be to the Allnic H8000 or the H1000, maybe the CH Precision, although I hear mixed likes / dislikes about it. I'm no rush, I'm enjoying this vinyl setup very much. :)
I’ve got the Etsuro Urushi Cobalt Blue mounted on a 4Point and couldn’t be happier. Granted the Gold has different bits but the general designs are similar.

My gut tells me it's the diamond cantilever on the Gold. That's plus I understand not all Golds are created equal.

Then, of course, differences in tables, phono pre, system, speakers, room and ears.

Diamond cantilever cartridges tend to take a long time to fully express themselves. How many hours does yours have? The same thing happened to me with the EMT JSD 6 Platinum. It took over 150 hours for the high-mids to stabilize and stop being too aggressive, as did the low-mids.

I did not use it for more than probably 50 hours, however, I explicitly asked Etsuro and they stated there is minimal sonic change via break - in.
