* Did you watch a film last night (on Blu or DVD), and what was it? *

-----Well that's too bad Mike.

* You know how it goes: One's woman pleasure is another's nightmare. :D
Sorry to be so vague. The movie reminded me of the British theatre of the absurd, like Abigail's Party and stuff by Joe Orton. It was just meant to provoke. It's too clever for me.
Did you see http://www.imdb.com/media/rm3608182784/tt0411272 ? Vincent Cassel was very good in this, as he was in the Black Swan.

---Mike, David Thewlis did a magnificent job in 'Naked'; no wonder he won the best actor nobel prize at the Festival de Cannes back in 1993. ...And the entire supporting cast was up to it. But I respect your viewpoint regarding the provoked emotions that it translated. ...And that was the point of that film!

No I didn't see 'Mesrine: L'Ennemi Public No 1', starring Vincent Cassel; but now that you just mentioned it I'll make the effort.
And I did see 'Black Swan' (got the Blu-ray); but it wasn't my bowl of soup.

Have a great weekend. :b

See 'Mesrine: L'Ennemi Public No 1', as it is much better than Naked. It is also based on fact, which, as we all know, is better than some wild imagination.:)

* Directed by Otto Preminger (1959). ...All of you guys here saw that flick right? :b
...If not you'd bedder get into it! :b
...It's a true American Classic (gem); and it rings as powerfully true today as it did yesterday.

^ Fine flick, though I haven't seen it in quite awhile

If memory serves correctly, it takes place in the U.P. (Upper Peninsula of Michigan)

I always remember Jenny Agutter.

-----She's very pretty, and talented.

^ Logan's Run if I remember correctly!!

Bob,

I didn't Google it or read the review. All I remember is that James Stewart plays a local small time lawyer, who is up against George C. Scott (a big city lawyer). Jimmy's character likes to fish.

:D

---Ron, Jenny Agutter; check her out, here.

Read it; it is very interesting, and about 'Walkabout' (1971), and its director Nicolas Roeg.

And of course she was in 'Logan's Run' (1976), like you mentioned above.
Plus she was in 'An American Werewolf in London' (1981).
And in 'Darkman' (1990). ...With Liam Neeson.

Her last flick presence was in 'The Avengers' (2012); that's right, the brand new & great one. :b
