* Did you watch a film last night (on Blu or DVD), and what was it? *

Last night (revisited) ::

---

---------^ Click it!

* Directed by Fritz Lang (1927). ...Goes without saying that so far this is the ULTIMATE high res version, and if you are a true Cinema aficionado (Videophile, Lover & all that Jazz); this Blu-ray is already in your lovely Movie collection.
- If it ain't, then you ain't what I just said above. :b

Last night :: Best High Def (BD) versions of one of my biggest favorite films ever.

---40553_medium.jpg

-------^ Click on it!

* Directed by Charles Chaplin (1925 & 1942) ...Tres tres content! :b
=> We got the remastered 1925 Silent version (with music), and the restored 1942 version. :cool:

Hangover II

Hangover II. And my wife and I will never be the same...:eek:

Yes I did, and I like this flick for its sense of humor, the great camera shots, and the cool audio soundtrack! :cool:

On Blu of course:

* And as you can see from the cover, Angelina is in it! :)

LOL no connection NorthStar. Hangover II was just like a car crash, you wanted to look away but...

---My best guess was that after you watched the flick ('Hangover II'), you and your wife became a different couple; similar to Angelina and her younger protege in the movie 'Wanted'.
But it didn't click correctly, so I asked.

Now I see that it meant; "We couldn't take our eyes away even if ..."
Or "It was happening fast and like a nightmare, but we couldn't escape ..."
Some' like dat? ...You're a tough cookie to decipher dats fo sur; sometimes. :b

Last night (rewatched) :: Mistake! ...Wrong mood, wrong flick!

---Yesterday I was shaken somehow by some events that took place around the world,
and closer to where we live ...

In a certain way I wanted to get my mind drifting away for a better sense of rebalancing, repurposing in my life.
And I thought that watching a flick with Charlize Theron in it would help somehow (fan of hers).

So here I decided to revisit 'Hancock'.

-----8909_medium.jpg

* Directed by Peter Berg (2008). ...Charlize is sure pretty to look at, but the flick's premises weren't of good augur with the planets' positioning (calibration) at that time!

...I'll try to do much better tonight. :b

** I should add this here:
We realize much more how bad a film is after we've watched a series of good ones.
- And it's true with people in real life too, and everything else; like music, audio.

2) Night before ::

* Directed by and starring Buster Keaton (1926 - Silent). ...A true Classic gem. :b

3) And night before last ::

---51V0GV5PMXL.jpg

* Directed by Robert Wiene (1920 - Silent).
...Another Classic; a true abstract painting of moving Cinema. :b ...Can't wait for the Blu.

The Intouchables

A French movie worth seeing.

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1675434/

Interesting because in French it's called 'Intouchables', which is correct.
But in English it should be called 'Untouchables', and not 'The Intouchables'.

* Just an observation. ...A correct one. :b But this world of ours is certainly imperfect.

It should have been The Untouchables, but I don't think that Sean Connery knows French.

Temple Grandin

Last night (revisited) two flicks ::

1) On DVD :( :eek: ::

---517gLgbkqLL.jpg

* Directed by F.W. Murnau (1922 - Silent). And starring Shrek**. ... 2D
** Max Schreck.

=> A Classic gem! ...Can't wait for the Blu-ray 3D version, with DTS-HD Master Audio. :b

_________________________

2) Again, 'Tron Legacy', but this time the 2D version on Blu ::

---20252_front.jpg

* Directed by Joseph Kosinski (2010 - DTS-HD MA 7.1). And starring Jeff & Gem.
{Jeff is the guy lost in the Digital Destiny of cyberspace, and Gem is the white hair girl}. :b

=> Please, do rewatch that flick (or watch it if you never saw it yet),
and set the Master volume control to Reference level. :b
...Then come back here in this thread, and we'll talk some serious Music (Audio/Sound design) business and all that Jazz ...

---- By the way, in case I forgot to mention; 'Tron Legacy' contains some IMAX footage from IMAX cameras. So the Picture/Video quality is on par with the Sound/Audio quality.
...A very polished film overall. :b

----Steve, I bet it was this one:

{Didn't see it myself yet, and not sure when and if I will.}
