CH Precision new 10 Series product in 2024 : C10 DAC

Not before the switch. Only afterwards. Both are superior examples of the breed. Perhaps more soundstage depth on the Cascade (minimal) and more detail on the C10. My reasons for change had nothing to do with SQ.
Fascinating to hear and good to know. Thanks. Are you able to share why you did the switch from one reference player to another? Was it because you felt there was greater cohesion with your existing CH amplification equipment?

Exactly. I wanted to hear how the full CHP stack would sound. It does not disappoint.

Can fully appreciate that. I have long enjoyed CJ preamps with Gryphon amps...and still do. And then ultimately discovered the Robert Koda K15EX preamp which is sensational to take over for the CJ preamp in interacting with the Gryphon amps.

Eventually, I found myself gravitating towards trying the matching (also pure Class A) Robert Koda mono amps. And there is something cohesive about the sound where you can see how a designer has clearly designed them 'as one'. It does not by any stretch invalidate the Robert Koda-Gryphon combination. Who knows, some might even prefer it.

But I can see 'more' of what Robert Koch is doing in his designs when I hear the combination, and certain attributes of the Robert Koda preamp appear to come forth more intelligibly when paired with its matching amps.

I imagine that is more of what you are hearing as the CH 10-series digital settles into your CH 10-series amplification. Not just of a whole, but where certain elements of the CH sound appear more apparent, delivered more cleanly because the whole system is designed by one mind, one ear.
