CH Precision new 10 Series product in 2024 : C10 DAC

Hello ! Yesterday I received the second Power Supply Unit enabling my C10 to run in Mono configuration. Well what should I say: everything is better, more beautiful, calmer with more sovereignty but also much more quietness and details, instruments with more body etc etc. Just staggering. Not cheap though but I encourage everyone who owns or is considering of owning the fabulous C10 to try the 3 box (2x PS) mono version.
Probably bigger sound stage as well. Unfortunately I just don’t have enough fund at this stage. This will be my future plan also.

C10 Director and D10 Transport is coming.
Wondering how the C10 will have 5 cabins? Three units in mono configuration plus T10 and the director?

So it seems that CH is going into the same "direction" as MSB:

The C10 will have 5 cabinets!!! All functions other than the DAC will be separated into the Director,

You have to admit , it's getting a bit ridiculous.

This is not including another 3 x L10, and 2 x M10.

True engineering should be about reducing the box count.
Not the other way around.

Yes, indeed
This might be appealing to some old-fashioned hardcore audiophiles but surely not to the younger generation.
It is not only about the boxes. For the boxes you need stands, cables, maybe grounding devices et cetera...

I am about to receive the CH Precision C10 DAC and T10 Clock to replace my MSB Cascade DAC. The reasons for this change have nothing to do with MSB. They make fabulous audio gear, have incredible tech support and run a wonderful business. The addition of the C10 DAC / T10 blend with the CHP L10/M10 I have enjoyed for quite some time. I will add the CHP Conductor later this year when it is released for production. The total number of chassis' are: L10 (2), M10 (2), DAC (2), Clock (1), Conductor (2). I don't feel this is excessive as some posters in this thread have implied. I owned dCS multi-module systems for several years and enjoyed them immensely. The difficulty with some multi chassis systems is that you have to purchase the cables to connect them all. CHP provides all umbilicals and their design is such that the interconnects are simple and minimized.

I discovered CHP DACs when I purchased a used i1 streamer for my Great Room music system. This little box contains a streamer, DAC and an integrated amplifier. The sound is sublime. I expect the same or better from CHP's heavy iron due next week. I will update this post after we are set up and burned in.

Well I couldn't agree more! Congratulations to your this decision and your new gear, these units are and sound fantastic. Since I am having my C10 Mono running from February onward, they "surprise" me every day again and again with wonderful musical performances. Also I agree re the number of unit or 'boxes'. I got ttl. 12 CH units and they all look great and stylish and people visiting my home like them too rather criticizing. It is my (and our) big hobby and I enjoy it almost every day, so all well spent. Yes, they are easy to connect and the system just makes sense. The total sound experience and musicality is wonderful! Despite the fact that I might 'skip' the conductor units I am eagerly waiting to audit the new D10 transport in August during the HK audio show.

I have received and set up the new C10 DAC and T10 clock. The Conductor will not arrive until some time this fall. Set up was easy. The HRS rack system is not as deep as my previous racks so there was more room behind the hardware for me to route cables. We were up and running shortly after some rack surgery. We had to convert a three shelf HRS VRX to a four shelf unit. You really get an appreciation for the amount of metal in these beasts when you have to wrangle the pieces around

I let the units run for a few hours before sitting down to listen. I won't bother comparing the C10 to other DAC's I've owned. At this price point they are all top shelf, just different. The C!0 throws an enormous wide soundstage with precise location of all voices / instruments. Their "density" is quite intoxicating. By that I mean the sound is saturated, relaxed and rich. Even with out break in the system is very pleasing to me and has fantastic synergy with the Rockports and Pink Faun server. I've got temporary power conditioning as I wait for the new Everest X units. I am splitting amp/pre amp on one side and digital on the other into two 20 amp dedicated circuits. After that, upgrades to some of the power cords to new Shunyata Omega X and we'll be done for a while.

Congrats! That is great to read...I think the provenance of the founders of CH is originally in digital designs for music (D/A, etc) ? Anagram Technologies?
