This is for Frantz and others who were commenting about shooting video with this camera. My son sent me this video that he shot in HD last weekend at the Treasure Island Music Festival with the Canon 7D

He said to turn up the volume when watching. IMO he didn't have any problems shooting video with that camera

I had no doubt that the 7d could shoot good video ...My point was that when I am buying a still camera video is secondary. The way a still camera body is conceived is not the best for video. One can take a Dodge Viper to buy grocery one can even tell me the grocery wil get home faster.. a mini van seems to remain a better alternative ...

Here is a typical video support rig for a DSLR -- it screws down onto the plate in the middle and can be popped off onto a tripod. Accessories such as the mattebox above right go onto the rods. Cut off on the left is a shoulder pad.
