Anyone who buys the swings can also later swap the driver to any of his choice, with AER bd4 they will be among the best speakers

I have no place to stock anything nor does it make sense to keep spending till this brexit mess is sorted out and we can get some of our money on paper out of our flat. For you the way the pound is going down now, these will be seriously cheap buying from the UK

The last vote we had on EEC/EU prior to 2016 was 1975. Roll on 2057.

Impressive. What is the crossover frequency used with this unit?

Bert uses 270hz. The recommended normal point from BMS is 300hz.

If you buy it, don't try with AR, CJ, VTL. Not even lamm actually. Go down to 1 to 3 watt SETs.

Yes, I know about it. A local DIY audiophile owns BD Designs horns. Even the Lamm's would probably be noisy with it.

Small power DIY units - but he is permanently changing them, trying new fancy tubes he gets mostly from Ucrania. A never ending project ...

Thanks. So the 118db/W only applies to frequencies over 270 Hz?

Yes indeed cos the bass is driven actively. In essence the speaker level input of your amp drivers the internal amp of the Swing.

Hi Mani,

Yes indeed I am selling my beloved Swings.

Why? I have been building a custom horn solution for just over a year now and I am now at the point where I have exceeded the performance of the Swings for my taste.

I still think the Swings are one of the very best commercially available horns in that size of package and hugely respect Bert’s designs.

Looking forward to pictures of your new speakers!
