That's comforting to know. As to the conspiracy theory, faking that picture is 100 times easier than faking the original mission .

The LRO keeps showing "sites" that look like badly photoshopped, pixellated weirdness. Of course, the chain of custody is all in the hands of NASA, and they have been known to alter photos. They apparently have a lab that just does only that. On one Apollo site, they showed "footprints" but got lazy and the "footprints" ended in a very small section of the alleged landing site, whereas the complete exploration area shows nothing else, just the footprints ending at a sharp junction. Pictures they released only showed the small, cropped area of the "footprints".

On the other hand, earth surveillance satellites from twice as high, taking pictures through the atmosphere of earth and cities/buildings, produce photos of startling clarity and detail, you can see people and even identify car models.

Until independent telescopes verify the Apollo landing sites, it is still moot whether it happened or not, but the evidence does not look good for NASA. They did not count on the fact that a massive parallel processing computer mind called the internet would be dissecting every aspect and claim of the moon landings.

NASA has also done something really odd, designated the Apollo sites as "no passover" sites due the the "historical interest in preserving the sites". Duh, NASA, it's the moon, you couldn't preserve anything anyway, what a cheap shot to prevent examination of the sites.

I couldn't make out a flag. Can't see how it would survive and not disintegrate in the course of 43 years with all the UV and temp variations.

Seems like it... The Russian at the times far from the USA friends should have been in it too... To make sure that the USA get all the credit of the first men landing on the moon >>Such cooperation!!

The moon landing was NOT filmed in a Hollywood Hangar. It was filmed in a secret site in Nevada around Area 51.

I have that on highest authority.

That area is a desert. How could any "high" authorities exist there? Seems to me it would have to be some mountain post for that to be true....

You see, people take notice and many believe whatever is on the internet, whether it is true or not!

I do believe we landed on the moon. I was a teenager when it happened and there wasn't anything that could get me away from the TV on July 20, 1969.
