Ked, is it the table/arm/cartridge/cable combination/pairing that is making the difference, or do you think it is a specific component in the mix that you prefer? What happens when you move the Red Sparrow over to the AF3/3012R? Surely you did a lot of swapping per your usual visit.
i have tried red sparrow on SME 3012r with vess, tang and David tried it on the same arm, it was thin. Before that I tried it at Anamighty sound with Schroeder CB, highly thin, they couldn’t get it to sing with all their gear and experience. Then I heard it at the General ‘s and it was the best analog I have heard but since then I have been separating out the pieces that he brought together to understand them individually,
Then I have tried with Vertere with TZBC, same issue. It only sang on vyger and Bergmann Sindre. Never liked the Sindre otherwise. Stavros’ videos show it so similar stuff on the Bergmann Galder.
So yes, it is a synergy thing. Vess also found that after he moved it from the 3012r to the vyger Indian.
we didn’t swap here, as you can see from the pictures Jeroen had set up there SME 3012r with vdh to compare to the Graham elite with identical vdh and another SME 3012r so that we also got a master sig to GC compare and a 3012r to Graham elite
