In Audioquattr's system.

Pick A1 or B1, A2 or B2, A3 or B3.

Both sound great, I would just look at getting into the musical flow to differentiate. Bill picked up 3/4 just as we had heard them in room for the same reasons based on these videos

A1 vs B1

A1 B2 A3

what am I hearing?

Vyger Red Sparrow. 3/3. Vs Techdas AF3 premium with SME 3012r and Master Signature Stradivarius. We preferred that much more due to the flow and just getting into the music. While the vdh also sounds great, it does have some stop start, and the flow is what I prefer on the Vyger. Also on B2 you can hear just so much more into piano. And on A3, the cello at the end flows more.

Wow you picked it up for the same reason we did in room. So much for video skepticism

Ked, is it the table/arm/cartridge/cable combination/pairing that is making the difference, or do you think it is a specific component in the mix that you prefer? What happens when you move the Red Sparrow over to the AF3/3012R? Surely you did a lot of swapping per your usual visit.

i have tried red sparrow on SME 3012r with vess, tang and David tried it on the same arm, it was thin. Before that I tried it at Anamighty sound with Schroeder CB, highly thin, they couldn’t get it to sing with all their gear and experience. Then I heard it at the General ‘s and it was the best analog I have heard but since then I have been separating out the pieces that he brought together to understand them individually,

Then I have tried with Vertere with TZBC, same issue. It only sang on vyger and Bergmann Sindre. Never liked the Sindre otherwise. Stavros’ videos show it so similar stuff on the Bergmann Galder.

So yes, it is a synergy thing. Vess also found that after he moved it from the 3012r to the vyger Indian.

we didn’t swap here, as you can see from the pictures Jeroen had set up there SME 3012r with vdh to compare to the Graham elite with identical vdh and another SME 3012r so that we also got a master sig to GC compare and a 3012r to Graham elite

definitely B4. it's more dynamic, bold and fluid to my ears.

B4 is vyger red sparrow. I made these videos to highlight the fluidity of Vyger linear tracking, and how it has no issues in bass. To me, Bill and others who know it vyger red sparrow is the undisputed king of analog. I was so pleased to hear it again sing at Jeroen’s similar to the way it did at the General’s

Fremer has got right conclusions on red sparrow from the SAT, his report mentions loading aside, it just won’t work with certain phonos irrespective of loading level. I think part of the reason it does not sing on pivots is the fact that it fits straight into a linear tracker which has no offset angle might get its azimuth or whatever to fit right, which might be getting screwed up on a pivot and it might be sensitive to that. Fremer might have got that right on the SAT.

Additionally audioblazer and his friend who both own Techdas AF0 own it, and he mentioned to me he got it thin sounding but his friend with Thales statement is getting “thunderous bass” with it on Magico M9 with the subs
