Alsyvox vs. Clarisys - What are the Sonic Differences? Anyone Understand Design Differences?

You can hear the Alsyvox Caravaggio XX at Rick's Brown's Hi-Fi One https://www.rbhifi1.com in Carlsbad, CA. You can hear Rick's set up with his 20 Watt Berning SET amps.

I guess Morricab got lost or abducted :)

Fingers crossed.

But he noticed his kidnapper’s music system and started telling him what amps to use, so the kidnapper let him go

Agree with you on the aesthetics. For the design-conscious, Alsyvox is a gorgeous work of art.
Art is always in the eye of the beholder. I don't sell either and wont comment on them however large panels have always been a love hate thing with buyers. Maggies, Acoustats, Sound Labs, Quads and so on people either love them or hate them. In all the years there was never any middle ground.
As far as room, these speakers radiate front and back so placement in the room and away from walls is extremely important. This is the nature of the beast and something the purchaser should consider before they pull the am/ex . If you can't get them away from the wall this probably isn't your choice. I have heard both ,only at shows, and I thought in Munich they both showed well.

You can also hear the Alsyvox Botticelli X at Bob Vineyards Rhapsody location in Portland.

Wow amazing tech used.
I've heard asylvox many times , looks aside there sound is blistfull.
in some ways the placement I've heard makes them feel like a non audio only room. In fact most all I've heard at Rhapsody is amazing sound in a typical room in homes
a speaker that must be built for a given audio only room has limitations.
The ones that stand out in this way is a much shorter list.
For me a sterile room just for a set of speakers while maybe needed I think after all this time in tech improvement should be aloud to be more flexible
Asylvox is that type and while there are others there looks matter
I think Rhapsody gives you that flexibility
for anyone who says it's less than amazing is showing there division

Amplification is not critical for good results but only very few could show the real potential of ALSYVOX. As a dealer in EUROPE, I spend endless time to find how music could be so rewarding, so palpable that this is miles away of audio, of mere performance or dealer / audiophile beliefs. I have seen and listen to surprising associations made by incompetent dealers and the result is good but not at all at the potential of this incredible speakers.

Both brands claim to be the modern descendent of the Apogee speaker. How does each one differ from the original?

Anyone got a handle on the sound of each?

Anyone understand the design approaches?

Thanks in advance
all is written in both manufacturers website.
Yes I listen to Alsyvox every day and to Clarisys at Munich audio show.

Alsyvox at 4 ohm is easy to drive, even with not expensive electronics.
Clarysis claims the impedance is 6 ohm flat. Should be very easy to drive.

Cool!-- Choke power supplies-- ala Cello Performance II's, my monies on the Bernings tho:cool:

Do you have experience with the Cello Performance II? Sometime ago a pair of them showed in the neighborhood - if it was not for the absence of service manuals I would have not resisted. Retrospectively I feel tempted to think I could have stopped with the Audio Palette MIV and a pair of Performance II ...

The fact that the Cello amplfiers have an impedance of 1 MegaOhm (Non-Inverting) 5000 Ohms (Inverting) also disturbed me.
