Mike... I'm disoriented.... I had great expectations but...where are the woofers? Our glorious 15"'s in MM2/MM3/MM7 ...gone?
Here we have another tower speaker ...
enclosure box looks good, maybe more rigid than previous EA production, but also much more conventional in style, MM series is magnificent with its curved surfaces, no angles around mid and tweeter...
This "system" looks an halfway between Scaena and YG speakers...
Let us know your sensations!

Let me try my best.

The ‘SYSTEM’ bass modules use the same tech as the MM bass modules. But, instead of single 15” drivers they use -4- 7” wide excursion drivers. Equated to a 14” single driver, but with a longer throw, more controlled cabinet and better amp.

You can choose a SYSTEM 7, with 4 modules or SYSTEM 9, with 6 modules.

So in other words, 4 x 14” per side, or 6 x 14” per side. Depending on how far you want to go.

The goal is added precision and impact in the bass.

Today is day one. So far I don’t hear anything which causes me to question the tech thinking.

Is there indicative pricing for the series?

Mike, what makes the Tosca an "LE?"

Different bearing made from unobtainium.

Plus counterweights also made from that stuff, and with an inner counterweight ring that is sapphire.

Might be other changes. But I can tell you it’s better, lower noise and more lively. But this is on an unfamiliar system and room. So slightly provisional

Mike, I looked for you twice in the Dart/EA room but couldn't find you. I did run in to @Al M. , @Ron Resnick , Jeff, Jim, @brencho.

Some photos of mine and drive by impressions...

Liked this room for what it was. And this is despite generally not having interest in monitors and pentodes. It was a musical and engaging room.

Love the Toscas.

The surprise of the show for me. I'm not sold yet because the room has some problems at the time I was able to visit (damaged cartridge, CDs only, among others), but the WVLs have my attention. This speaker performs an absolute disappearing act in the room. Uncanny. And the integration of the AMT and woofer sounded very well executed. I'd like to hear one of the larger models perhaps, and in a different chain.

Warning: don't put your tongue on it. Ask me how I know.

Class D continues to make forward strides. But it's not up to snuff for me just yet. A good effort and I hear verified improvements behind the scenes are in progress.

I appreciated the matte black... Never seen before in a Triangle Art room.

Many people have told me they enjoyed the Songer room. I can't fall in. I heard this room as muddy, very boomy, and generally disappointing. Disappointing because I've admire this speaker in pictures for some time now. But it didn't work for me. The new venue with generally challenging rooms on the third floor is a possible explanation. But I have to wonder about the design as well. For starters, I don't understand the bungee cords and have to wonder if they're detrimental. I don't know but I'm willing to try Songer again and find out more. I know many will disagree but this is what I heard, and I'm not alone. Enough said.

A picture says a thousand words. Perhaps the absolute highlight for me was meeting Hervé for the first time.

Cake Audio's well set up room gets a thumbs up.

An interesting concept. A promising sound. But more than a few head scratchers here for me.

This was PBN's best showing in a few years for me.

The Gryphon room. My best in show. I was wowed and I'm not sure I've been wowed at a show in a while. Spectacular.
