Hello everyone!
I am selling my PD2 SE demo unit. This is the most up to date version. That being said, Sonny developed the PD2 SE with a modular design so as technology advances the unit can easily be upgraded at an affordable price. I have written about this piece as I performed a DAC shootout against the Rockna Signature Wavedream, Metrum Adagio, and the COS D1. You can click here to go to the thread. Short summary is that the Phison and Rockna were very competitive. The Phison has a less fatiguing sound but the Rockna pulls every conceivable ounce of detail you can pull from a piece of music. If you have a fast amplifier, the PD2 SE will probably sound VERY good in your system. I prefer the PD2 SE when fed with DSD files as the DSD section of the DAC gives clear separation, perfect imaging, and a very realistic soundstage. The reason I am selling is because I have the original PD2 and plan to upgrade it to the PD2 SE. It doesn't make sense to have 2.
Phison has impressed me with every component put out there and just as much by the exceptional service provided. Any question I have had Sonny has been able to help me with promptly.
This comes shipped in the flight case inside a cardboard box.
I am looking for $10,000 for this as it is a demo unit and not brand new. It is in stellar shape though!
The MSRP is $14,000.
Feel free to ask me any questions! I may have had too fun with production of the images.. Thank you to my outstanding photographer, Adam C. =)
Best regards,
Stephen
