Haha! Yes, let all the "Audio Yentas" figure out the crony conspiracy that runs rampant on WBF-everyone knows the reputation here. TD is a great product, I've spent alot of time with it at home in my system as a consumer. Not a dealer/distributor/reviewer shill... Probably one of THE best DACs I've had in here and I've had some owned or heard some big name DACs. But at the risk of being a "Yenta" I will leave them out of this.

Keep up the RIDICULOUSLY great design Totaldac.

Hello Nico,
No, the high gain of the Amp-1-sublime and the high efficiency of the speaker allow me to use a transformer based attenuator instead.
This allows me to use 2 extra reclockers, for fun.

I would like to add a thought about the last trade fair in Munich, where I was honestly disappointed with the reproductions of most of the rooms with digital sources! very few exceptions, including the TOTALDAC room!
Disappointed with the MSB Technology Cascade and the implementations of the new PC hardware-based streaming machine projects, perhaps the pairings were not happy...!
I was favourably impressed with the full TOTALDAC installation where the reproduced sound approached and touched the best analogue reproductions! Thanks to the full TOTALDAC synergy with the new d120 loudspeakers combined with the extraordinary analogue qualities of the sublime! A few exceptions were saved in Munich, for example another interesting room was Ansuz, Aavik & Børresen, for the rest many expectations strongly disappointed!

My layman's "explanation" for this phenomenon is that the source (in its digital iteration that would include the complete digital chain, including modems and switches in the case where music is being streamed) is still naively neglected by certain (mostly DAC) manufacturers.
Imagine wanting to demo a high-end phonostage with a DJ style record deck...
The fallacy of that approach couldn't be more evident than in the rooms where proper care was given to the digital source (Taiko, Xact, etc).
