* Did you watch a film last night (on Blu or DVD), and what was it? *

Sounds like a pretty vicious flick! :b [Got it on BD.]

__________

My fave scenes: Vicious babe duels with vicious thug in Mexican wrestling mask using her spiked heels, kill him. Vicious illegal alien mob attacks stronghold of vicious vigilante border patrol thugs with bouncing cars, one pushing a taco cart while waving a shotgun. Vicious vigilante bounced to death by bouncing car. Lindsey Lohan playing herself, often nude with trashy tatoos. A real S. Clay Wilson movie without the perversion, but could use more gratuitous sex. Gotta love it.

Just for the heck of it ...

* Totally brainless! :( ...Highly recommended. ;)
[Of course I already saw it before, but it has some fun scenes (with the three stooges), a big gun, and Alicia looks great.]

Can watch that anytime. Beautifully shot, directed and acted. Have a friend who does a great riff on the classic George C. Scott line 'You owe me money!!!!'

Saw an interesting DVD from the library. "The Page Turner", a French film with subtitles. It is nice to see an involving suspense movie held together purely by character development and subtle performances by talented actresses/actors, no CGI or car chases. It does rely on the "20 million dollar lifestyle" syndrome endemic to films of all shores in which the rich suffer vividly in their gilded cages from a variety of self imposed neuroses and elevated standards.

I just wanted to make a general, fun observation... I like alien movies, you know those where people with mega guns chase alien monsters from compartment to compartment... and especially those set far into the future with clearly advanced technologies, where obviously radar, motion and thermal imaging detectors mysteriously have not yet been invented:D

Funny that you just mentioned that because not that long ago I did rewatch 'Alien Resurrection',
(1997) from my Alien Quad set on Blu. :b ...Jean-Pierre Jeunet, the director, is French (from Paris).
So is the actor in the wheel chair; Dominique Pinon.

A great line from this (paraphrase), from the brother of the protagonist rat as he's eating something from the garbage:

If you can muscle the gag reflex it's really pretty good.

Last night:

* A Must Add to your 3D Blu-ray collection.
And the larger your screen size the better.
- If you did not see it yet, enjoy the ride. :b

If you are the type who is not into 3D, you are missin' some'. IMHO
