* Did you watch a film last night (on Blu or DVD), and what was it? *

Network: Not exactly the last word in High Def picture, but very faithful transfer of this classic and a significant improvement on the DVD. The story still holds up. Really enjoyed watching it again and happy to have this blu-ray in my collection.

After reading so much about Inception here, I watched it with my wife on DVD. Cool effects - my wife called it an Updated Matrix, but it's too surreal for me. So, is the entire movie a dream? Dom still stuck in limbo? Are they setting up for a sequel?

Watched Public Enemy on Blu Ray and discovered a new champion for pushing the bass on my system and a great test for the sharpest attack of leading edge on bass, but then you would expect no less from Michael Mann, the guy who brought good sound to TV through Miami Vice.

Last Blu-ray watched was Tron. The visual effects and music are amazing. The story unfortunately, is even worse than the first. Visually it is stunning with the way it paints with light.

Utterly mind-blowing, 'Human Planet'; the new series by the BBC team that did Planet Earth and Life. About halfway thru it with my family.

An event. And has a certain sadness over it which is rarely explicit in the VO, but there because it's hard not to feel that the peoples we see, their days are numbered.

The Last Three Days. With Russel Crowe. Thrilling movie. Of the the best and most enjoyable I've seen the past few months.

Tangled. Cute. Watched it with my 12 year old daughter. Disney/Pixar is very good at this kind of thing. It's not in the league of Wall-E, Cars or Ratatouille, but pretty good.

Wife and I are in the 4rth season of Lost -- still addicted. Plus - looks and sounds great on blu-ray.

At this point, what would be the questions or mysteries the intrigues you most?

I'm not TV viewer, so I could be forgiven I suppose, but I have absolutely no idea what LOST is all about and why it's so hugely popular. It appears I may be missing out on something.

For me and my wife, we felt really gripped during the first season. There were so many questions and mysteries. Then the law of diminishing return set in after that. I tried to watch the rest of the seasons just to finish what they started. But I'd say the first 3 at least I enjoyed watching.

Maybe I should ask some friends if they have it on BD or DVD....and I'll borrow a season or so.

Good luck with the hunt. The first season is easily likeable if mysterious thngs on a mysterious island intrigues you. :) The people (cast) themselves can be a bit mysterious too.

You definitely need to start from the first episode.

I think watching two, three, four episodes at a time really adds to the experience.

I don't know how people could have waited a week between episodes.

We've watched three seasons in about a month.

It looks and sounds great on blu-ray.

It's sort of like Lord of The Flies mixed with the X-Files.

Great mix, IMO.

Deals with all kinds of human issues, themes, etc.

Lots to think about and puzzle over or just enjoy the action and suspense.

You can get the first season on blu-ray @ Amazon for about $20 used.

About 25 50 minute episodes.

Quite a bargain for so much entertainment, IMO.

I watched Pitch Black last night. It was a trippy movie when I first saw it. Not so last night.

Unless you are a Vin Diesel fan, just rent it.
