Has anyone ever reported the results of the WHOLE RECORD/PLAYBACK CHAIN from cutting a record using a sweep signal input to the record amp (from an impeccable audio generator) thru playing the record back and "recording" the result of the output from the phono preamplifier?
Would bet that the result would be MANY Db of VARIATION across the audio bandwidth. And how much of this is on the cutting side; record amp / cutting stylus, versus the playback side; playback cartridge / phono preamp?
Thank You
